Poetry and Poses with James & Leia

To celebrate the launch of their new book, renowned poet and therapist James E.Kenward, and yoga teacher and illustrator, Leia Lorelai, will be creating events of poetry interwoven with rocket to yin yoga at The Sanctuary.

James’s writing and performance has been Time Out Critic’s Choice, Sony Academy Award-nominated, and he regularly voices No. 1 ranking productions on Audible. Leia’s roots in yoga, neuroscience, and therapy are in London, where she worked for years before making the leap to Munich and teaching in the wonderful yoga studios here.

James and Leia have worked in yoga and therapy for more than twenty years combined, and want to share - not only in the form of healing practices, but also how healing practices can be lifted by the art they help to produce. Their book, 'Key and Other Poems' is about change, pain, effort, release and health - and directly connected to Leia and James’s work in healing. 

This beautiful cycle, in which the art responds to the yoga practice, but also informs it, is not something to be missed when presented as an evening of pictures created through words as you pose, and then melt into bliss.
